According to officials, the 31-year-old political strategist and close ally of President Donald Trump was struck by gunfire approximately 20 minutes into a presentation at the Orem, Utah campus. Utah Valley University confirmed that a suspect is in custody and that law enforcement agencies — including the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) — are on the scene.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the Department of Justice is “actively investigating this senseless act of violence.”
